Family Spanish Classes

Spend quality time with your family while having fun learning the language that will open doors for your children's future, and allow you to communicate with our Spanish-speaking neighbors. Tierra Educational Center now offers Spanish classes for the whole family; you and your child will learn through games, songs, stories, and art projects in a fun and interactive environment. Give your child the gift of learning Spanish at an age when they are naturally curious and their minds optimally develop foreign language skills. Classes are held at our center, either in small groups with a maximum of 8 students per class (including parents or caregivers), or privately for just your family. What better way to learn Spanish than right alongside your child?
Typical Class Structure:
Classes are dynamic and fun for everyone. Lessons are structured according to the children's learning processes and the parents learn through observing and participating along with their children. Teachers use a variety of activities and games to facilitate the learning of vocabulary words, and later, phrases and full sentences. Many activities use bodily movement (go around the room and touch the correct image/object, follow directions to move their bodies etc.) in addition to flashcards and other visual aids to stimulate learning and memory.
Family classes can be customized to individual groups.
Classes are one hour in length and are divided in the following parts:
- 10 minutes - Greetings, Date, Day, and later on, Weather
- 20-25 minutes - Review of previous material, memory games
- 20-25 minutes - Presentation of new material, repetition, games
- 5 minutes - Closing and Goodbye
If the parent(s) would like extra material to facilitate their learning, worksheets and homework can be provided.
At least one parent or guardian must accompany children from each family.
Single Family Class Rates
One parent and one (child/or family member): $55/hour or $250 for 5 hours
Add $5/hour or $25/5 hours for each additional parent or child.
Multi Family Class Rates (Must be coordinated amongst families)
Invite your friends or colleagues with children and save ! Enroll with another family and receive a discounted group rate. Group classes have 4-10 students per class.
$150/5 weeks or $270/10 weeks for one parent and one child.
Add $25/5 weeks or $50/10 weeks for each additional family member.
Minimum purchase of 5 classes per family; 10 classes recommended.
