Mexican Independence Day Fiesta Friday, September 17th, 6-8 pm. Come and join us!

This year, Mexico is celebrating its bicentennial: 200 years since Independence (September 15th, 1810) and 100 years since the Mexican Revolution (November 20th, 1910). To mark this historic commemoration, Tierra Educational Center is hosting an Independence Day celebration in place of our regularly scheduled Spanish Conversation Club and Pot Luck. The event will offer traditional Mexican tamales, as well as a short presentation on the historical significance of the holiday.

Special discounts on Spanish classes and prizes will also be offered!

This celebration is open to students and the community, free with a food or beverage contribution (Mexican "antojitos" are encouraged!), or a $5 suggested donation.
