Spanish for Educators - One week of intensive Spanish study this July!

Calling all educators: improve your Spanish skills in an intensive one-week course designed to meet your workplace needs! We will learn a wealth of school-related vocabulary that will boost your ability to communicate with Spanish-speaking students and their families. Meeting 5 consecutive days for 2.5 hours each day, this course offers a Spanish immersion experience with highly interactive activities and abundant opportunity for practice. Offering two levels of this unique course this July!

Tierra’s Grand Re-Opening Fiesta - Live Andean Music: Saturday May 9th!!

We are thrilled to open our doors for a community fiesta as we celebrate Tierra’s 6th Anniversary at our exciting new location, 5745 NE Glisan St.! Join us Saturday May 9th from 6-8pm at Tierra for a memorable evening with a special musical performance by Tito Amaya and Freddy Calla Waiwa of local Andean music group Chayag. They will conjure the fascinating culture shared by the peoples of Andes mountains with a lively program of folkloric music using a wide variety of authentic instruments, including the Charango (ten string lute), El Bombo (Andean drum), Quena and Zampoñas (Native South American Flutes), and guitar.
