Spanish classTierra Educational Center is a locally owned, independent language school located in NE Portland, Oregon. We offer small group and private Spanish classes of the highest quality for adults and children of all levels. Our experienced and enthusiastic instructors implement Tierra’s well-structured, original curriculum utilizing dynamic and conversational activities for the most effective learning experience. Last call for mid-fall Spanish classes!

Now that we've rolled the clocks back, choose a great way to spend those extra indoor hours by enrolling in a 5-week Spanish course in our Mid-Fall Term** at Tierra! Our small-group classes with a maximum of 8 students provide a comfortable and stimulating setting in which you’ll boost your Spanish language skills with high-quality instruction and focused conversational practice. Join a twice-weekly class on weekday mornings or evenings and make real progress in less time than you’d think possible!

Beginner 1  (2x/week for 5 weeks)
Mondays & Wednesdays | 10:30am-12:00pm | Nov 10th - Dec 10th

**Please note: Tues/Thurs classes begin Thursday, November 6th (to make up for Thanksgiving!)  Mon/Wed classes begin Monday, November, 10th.

Fiesta at Tierra: Friday Sept. 19th with live music from Bajo Salario!

For our 6th annual Latin American Independence Fiesta we’re thrilled to be joined for the second year by local music collective Bajo Salario! A non-profit which promotes cultural education and community building through playing and teaching Latin American folkloric music, their high-energy performances include rousing renditions of popular songs by artists such as Los Folkloristas and Inti-Illimani along with their own original compositions on traditional instruments.

Join us on Friday, September 19th from 6:00 - 8:00pm for this special community event, free and open to the public!
